Tatiana Filatova

Tatiana Filatova is currently working toward her PhD degree at the Water Engineering and Management Department at the University of Twente, the Netherlands. She is interested in agent-based economics and ecological economics as well as in integrating economic theories in land use modeling. At the moment she focuses on exploring market mechanisms affecting spatial patterns and land prices in coastal towns along the Dutch coast with the purpose to reduce risk of flooding.

Dawn Parker

Dawn Parker is Assistant Professor in the Department of Computational Social Science, Krasnow Institute of Advanced Study, George Mason University. Previously, she completed a post-doctoral fellowship in modeling at CIPEC, Indiana University, following completion of her Ph. D. in Agricultural and Resource Economics from UC Davis. Her research interests center around the dynamics of human-environment interactions that result from humans' decisions regarding allocation of scarce resources, focusing on development of multi-agent system models of land-use and land-cover change (MAS/LUCC), including methodological issues and efforts to develop this new research area into a scientifically mature field.
