Shah Jamal Alam

Shah Jamal Alam studied computer science at the universities of Karachi and Saarland. He did his PhD in social simulation from the Centre for Policy Modelling supervised by Scott Moss and Bruce Edmonds. He is currently a postdoctoral research fellow in the School of Public Health at the University of Michigan.

Armando Geller

Armando Geller is a Research Assistant Professor at the Department of Computational Social Science and the Center for Social Complexity, and a Research Fellow at the Krasnow Institute for Advanced Study, all at George Mason University. Armando has a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Zurich. His particular background is in conflict research and social simulation. Armando came to George Mason University in early 2009 after a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Centre for Policy Modelling in Manchester, UK. Before that he worked as a doctoral researcher at the Swiss Military Academy at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and as a teaching assistant at the University of Zurich. Currently, Armando is the principal investigator of a project on studying irregular warfare using multi-agent simulation.

Ruth Meyer

Ruth Meyer is a Research Associate at the Centre for Policy Modelling currently working on the EU FP7 OCOPOMO project. She graduated in Computer Science and Biology from Hamburg University, Germany, and is in the final stages of completing her PhD in agent-based simulation with a focus on explicit spatial representation. Her experience in developing evidence-driven agent-based simulation models stems amongst other things from having been involved in the FP6 CAVES and EMIL projects.

Bogdan Werth

Bogdan Werth holds an M.A. in Computer Science from the Koblenz-Landau University, Germany. He is currently a Doctoral Researcher at the Centre for Policy Modelling, Manchester, and a Senior Business Consultant at Bearing Point Management Consultancy in Frankfurt, Germany.
