James Millington

Dr. James Millington is a Lecturer in Physical and Quantitative Geography at King's College London. He is a broadly trained geographer and landscape ecologist with expertise in the use of modelling and simulation to investigate ecological and socio-economic processes and their interaction. His PhD research examined the potential impact of spatially distributed land-use decision-making on ecological patterns and processes (wildfire and vegetation dynamics) in a traditional multifunctional Mediterranean landscape. Subsequently, he was a Visiting Research Associate at Michigan State University where he developed a simulation model to examine forest management and policy options in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and later held a Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship at King's College London.
