Robin Lovelace

I am Research Fellow at the Consumer Data Research Centre, University of Leeds. During the final year of my Geography degree in Bristol, I came to see climate change and energy issues as central to solving the 21st Century's intractable problems. Following the insight that energy is at the root of these issues, thanks to Vaclav Smil and Howard T Odum, I did a PhD in energy and transport at the E-Futures Doctoral Training Centre in Sheffield. Since completion of the PhD I have been a Research Fellow in Leeds' School of Geography, working on new methods of analysing and modelling spatial data for policy evaluation. My aim is to contribute to the evidence-base needed to transition away from fossil fuels and towards a sustainable future.
