Rob Stocker completed an undergraduate degree in education and a post-graduate degree in computing and is a lecturer in Information Technology at Charles Sturt University. He is undertaking a PhD in Information Systems, supervised by Prof David Green, Prof Terry Bossomaier and Dr David Cornforth. His active research interests are in complex systems, particularly in computational simulations of the structure and dynamics of social networks and communication in learning processes.

Dr David Cornforth graduated from Nottingham Trent University (UK) in 1982 with a BSc (Hons) in Electronic Engineering. He worked as an electronic engineer and programmer in the automotive, tourism and financial sectors until beginning doctoral studies at Nottingham University (UK). He obtained his PhD in 1994, with a thesis in machine learning techniques. After moving to Australia, David worked in the health and water supply industries, then as a research assistant in Newcastle University. In 2000 he took up his current position as lecturer in the School of Environmental and Information Sciences, Charles Sturt University. David is an active researcher in complex systems.

Prof. Terry Bossomaier has a BSc in Natural Science from Cambridge University, UK, an MSc in Spectroscopy, and a PhD in Quantum Chemistry, obtained in 1980. He is a researcher in complex systems and evolutionary algorithms, and has published many research articles in this area, including contributions to Science magazine. He is Co-founder and editor of the online journals Complexity International and Online GIS. He has authored books on Complex Systems, Spatial Metadata and Online. He has been invited to chair and serve on the program committees of International conferences. He has obtained numerous grants from the ARC and the Sir Maurice Byers Foundation.
